Reporting of misconduct

We expect our employees and stakeholders to report occurrences or suspicions of misconduct.

This could include breaches of DNV GL’s Code of Conduct, corporate policies and instructions, as well as applicable laws and regulations. Internally, employees should report issues directly to their line manager. Employees may also decide to report directly to the Group Compliance Officer or DNV GL’s internal and external Ombudsman.

The internal Ombudsman also serves as an ethical helpline. The external Ombudsman is a qualified external lawyer serving as a whistleblowing hotline. Both Ombudsmen have an independent role and contacts with them are treated anonymously on request. Incidents related to personal data protection should be reported to the Global Data Protection Officer.

Externally, customers, employees and other stakeholders should report concerns about potential misconduct to the internal or external Ombudsman, ensuring the anonymity of the whistle-blower.

Any indication of misconduct or a serious concern of misconduct can be made in writing, by telephone or in a personal meeting with any of the contacts below.
