HR

The Global Centre HR delivers high quality HR services to Non-European countries. Services are rendered in close collaboration with the GSS HR Regional Centres within North Asia, South Asia, IMEA & Americas, together developing the Global Shared Service HR function for DNV.

HR Operations

HR Operations is the first point of HR contact for DNV employees and managers across North Asia, South Asia, IMEA & Americas. The team support colleagues via email, but also drives HR processes from on- to offboarding. Team's tasks also include HR administration and system maintenance connected to employment, benefits & compensation management as well as internal trainings coordination.

Payroll

Payroll team is mainly responsible for day-to-day quality service within Payroll according to legal and company requirements, including:

  • Collecting, analyzing and managing the data flow between the company and a payroll vendor (Middle East & Americas payroll performed fully in-house),
  • Analyzing country-specific allowances and absences,
  • Managing full employee lifecycle (new hire, transfer, termination),
  • Maintaining time and attendance data,
  • Evaluating current systems, developing and recommending policies and procedures.

Recruitment

GSS Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Section drives all recruitment activities within DNV Business Areas in North Asia, South Asia, IMEA.
Our professionals are actively identifying talents across regions, conducting and setting up interviews, market intelligence as well as collaborating with local agencies and partnering with Managers to support growing business needs.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation & Benefits is a central, newly established team responsible for Non-European compensation matters in DNV, including salary adjustment, profit share and various country-specific benefits. The team supports global processes and provides analytical services to the DNV Organization, as well as concludes workforce compensation processes, incl. documentation for European countries.

The team members cooperate with colleagues in various European countries, senior managers in the business areas and other stakeholders, both internally and externally.

IT

Global Shared Services IT is the DNV IT organization responsible for delivering a wide range of IT capabilities and capacities to business and corporate units and end-users worldwide. GSS IT with nearly 400 employees worldwide is the internal service provider for IT support globally in DNV and has a key role in system evaluation, development, and integration.

End user support services

End user support services are delivered from GSS IT and consist of the following services:

1st line support through Global Service Desk

Global Service Desk is the Single first Point of Contact (SPOC) for all IT related requests – including both support issues and requests for service.  GSD helps to support corrective action to fix something that causes or may cause interruption or reduction in quality of service. If something is not working on DNV computer, it is practically certain that the employees will contact GSD Team either via MyGSS Portal, telephone, chat, or email.

2nd line support is carried out by Application/Infrastructure or local deskside teams

We offer also essential basic training in common core tools and IT Procurement (limited to standard VerIT hardware and standard VerIT software)

Finance Applications

Finance Application team is our key unit to further develop and support our finance ecosystem based on Oracle eBusiness Suite, which also consists of a number of other closely integrated tools. A well-functioning and up-to-date finance system supporting our key processes end-to-end is a key engine to support our organisations commercial and financial commitments and assists to drive the transformation of the company.

The Service Requests team focuses on executing and analyzing incoming customer service requests for maintaining Oracle Finance.

The Daily Operations team focuses on establishing and maintaining a full overview of financial applications and their integrations to ensure stable end-to-end operations across.

The Finance Applications Development and Support team focuses on delivering Incident/defect resolution, development of new requirements and localisations / new operating units.

The team develops reports, dashboard and data warehouse to create business value from company data, as well as supports (2nd and 3rd line) and maintains multiple data warehouse systems and reporting services (Vadis).

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)

Siemens Teamcenter (Active Workspace) is used by DNV as the main Production system for Energy Systems business area. The PLM team in Pune plays a key role in developing, enhancing the application as well as supporting the large number of active users using the system across the globe.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)

Salesforce is used by Maritime currently; we are planning to extend salesforce other divisions. NGPS is also part of CRM applications. We are currently supporting production instance.

Web & Collaboration

Data Centre Services

As the Data Centre Services, we have two teams and provide various services and support.  Both teams provide support globally and consist of different roles.

  • Within the Global Monitoring Centre team, we handle monitoring and operations for both cloud-based and on-premise solutions. In addition, GMC performs monthly maintenance with security patching and maintain infrastructure, server hardware, Linux 1st line support as well as data backup and restore. 
  • Within Cloud Operations team our DevOps engineers design, develop and maintain internal Kubernetes platforms, support application teams and their services in DevOps model cooperation, and provide support for cloud environments.

FINANCE

Record to Report

Record to Report section is a team of Accountants responsible for GL accounting and reporting, Balance Sheet account reconciliations, financial analysis, internal and external audits. The team works in close cooperation with GSS Finance Teams, Business areas and controllers to ensure accurate and timely accounting and reporting. Record to Report Pune provides services to the DNV countries in Middle east and Africa, South Asia, North America, India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Accounts Payable

Accounts Payable section is a team of experts responsible for processing invoices, Travels and Expenses, weekly payment of vendors and employees, reconciling Accounts Payable statements, subledger to general ledger and other Month end close activities. We also cooperate closely with other GSS Finance teams.

Cash Management

Cash Management team is split into: Accounts Receivable, Credit Collections and Cash Management.

Accounts Receivable

Accounts Receivables Team is responsible for cash allocation of incoming & outgoing payments, small balance write off, invoice adjustments, bank reconciliations , sub ledger reconciliations , reporting, query management & monitoring of cash pooling accounts.

Credit Collections

Credit collections Team is responsible for dunning , sending statement of accounts/reconciling , customer calls , resolving customer queries/disputes, refunds, coordinating/following up with business areas for any queries

Cash Management

Cash Management team is responsible for bank access management review and the security manager role.
