Global Shared Services IT is the DNV IT organization responsible for delivering a wide range of IT capabilities and capacities to business and corporate units and end-users worldwide. GSS IT with nearly 400 employees worldwide is the internal service provider for IT support globally in DNV and has a key role in system evaluation, development, and integration.
End user support services
End user support services are delivered from GSS IT and consist of the following services:
1st line support through Global Service Desk
Global Service Desk is the Single first Point of Contact (SPOC) for all IT related requests – including both support issues and requests for service. GSD helps to support corrective action to fix something that causes or may cause interruption or reduction in quality of service. If something is not working on DNV computer, it is practically certain that the employees will contact GSD Team either via MyGSS Portal, telephone, chat, or email.
2nd line support is carried out by Application/Infrastructure or local deskside teams
We offer also essential basic training in common core tools and IT Procurement (limited to standard VerIT hardware and standard VerIT software)

Finance Applications
Finance Application team is our key unit to further develop and support our finance ecosystem based on Oracle eBusiness Suite, which also consists of a number of other closely integrated tools. A well-functioning and up-to-date finance system supporting our key processes end-to-end is a key engine to support our organisations commercial and financial commitments and assists to drive the transformation of the company.
The Service Requests team focuses on executing and analyzing incoming customer service requests for maintaining Oracle Finance.
The Daily Operations team focuses on establishing and maintaining a full overview of financial applications and their integrations to ensure stable end-to-end operations across.
The Finance Applications Development and Support team focuses on delivering Incident/defect resolution, development of new requirements and localisations / new operating units.

Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Siemens Teamcenter (Active Workspace) is used by DNV as the main Production system for Energy Systems business area. The PLM team in Pune plays a key role in developing, enhancing the application as well as supporting the large number of active users using the system across the globe.

Customer Relationship Management (CRM)
Salesforce is used by Maritime currently; we are planning to extend salesforce other divisions. NGPS is also part of CRM applications. We are currently supporting production instance.

Data Centre Services
As the Data Centre Services, we have two teams and provide various services and support. Both teams provide support globally and consist of different roles.
- Within the Global Monitoring Centre team, we handle monitoring and operations for both cloud-based and on-premise solutions. In addition, GMC performs monthly maintenance with security patching and maintain infrastructure, server hardware, Linux 1st line support as well as data backup and restore.
- Within Cloud Operations team our DevOps engineers design, develop and maintain internal Kubernetes platforms, support application teams and their services in DevOps model cooperation, and provide support for cloud environments.
