Easy access to material declarations is essential when compiling inventories for new ships.

When entering into force, newly adopted IMO convention on ship recycling requires that every new ship shall have onboard an Inventory of Hazardous Materials (IHM).
Material Declarations for ship’s structure and equipment must therefore be obtained.
The declarations are available at http://exchange.dnv.com/tari/ and will also be accessible from major Internet portals commonly used by yards, ship owners and manufacturers of maritime equipment.
DNV simplifies the compilation of IHM by offering manufacturers voluntary internet publication of their Material Declarations and Suppliers Declarations of Conformity.
The Yard or Ship owner can then easily:

- Download declarations free of charge
